ServiceRanger is a PC software program developed by Eaton Corporation to diagnose and service Roadranger supported commercial vehicle components. ServiceRanger is designed to communicate with vehicle component controllers via the vehicle's diagnostic link connection. ServiceRanger complies with the SAE Surface Vehicle Recommended Practices for J1587 and J1939 vehicle communications, as well as the TMC RP1210 PC communications standard developed for vehicle link adapter communications.

• At this time, Eaton AutoShift Gen1 and Bendix VORAD EVT-300 are not supported by ServiceRanger 3. You will need to use ServiceRanger 2 for servicing these products.

What operating systems does ServiceRanger 3.x support?

It is recommended to run ServiceRanger on Microsoft® Windows™ XP or newer, but some older vehicle link adapters do not support these operating systems. Check with your vehicle link adapter manufacturer to make sure it supports your computer's hardware and operating system.

What vehicle link adapters work with ServiceRanger 3.x?

ServiceRanger 3.x supports a select few RP1210A compliant vehicle adapters. Check the current list of compatible vehicle link adapters for your operating system.

What are the proper vehicle link adapter settings in ServiceRanger 3.x for my communication adapter?

Proper setting of each data link connection is required to ensure reliable and stable communication. Click here to view adapter settings. The connection settings should be set up soon after your ServiceRanger installation.
